The mound is located on a separate hill on the edge of the valley of the left bank of the Nemunas (now Kaunas Lagoon). The site is oval, oriented in a north-south direction, 6.5 m long and 9 m wide. On its southern side is a 1 m high, 7 m wide embankment. On the northern slope, 10 m below the site, there is a 5 m wide terrace. The slopes are steep, 20 m high. The mound is overgrown with thinned trees. The mound dates back to the first millennium. In the northern and eastern foothills, on an area of 2 ha, there is a foothill settlement where streaked, rough and smooth pottery has been found.
